The event is now over, and we would like to thank all participants.
We had about 120 participants from 7 countries in 14 workshops.
For the buffet New Years Eve we were 50 guests.

Christmas Tango Days in Oslo offers classes and practice nights for absolute beginners, beginners and intermediate levels.
We offer an alternative holiday activity where you can dance and socialise with friends and friends to come.
The highlight of the festival will be a big NewYearsEveBall, with buffet and danceperformance.

Levels:
Beginners - Those who have taken a beginners course.
Intermediate - Those who have taken one or several courses, and have danced a little while.
Tema workshops - Suitable for intermediate and advanced levels.

Prices:
Price per workshop Nkr 150 (aprox. 20 euros). Participating in 4 workshops gives you free entrance to the practice nights.
Practice night: Non-participants Nkr 50 per night.
Tango Party Saturday: Non-participants Nkr 70. Participants Nkr 40.
NewYearsEveBall: Non-participants Nkr 130. Participants Nkr 100. Please bring some food for the buffet (Nkr 50 value). You need to register for the buffet. If you don't want to join the buffet, we welcome you around 24 h.
Lecture 'The History of Tango Music through the Ears of a Dancer': Nkr 50. Participants free. Registration is not needed.
Private class with Jur and/or Jonne: Nkr 400,-.

Practical information:
You can registration via e-mail or telephone (see top of page). Registration in couples are prefered, but we also accept single registration. We will try to find you a suitable dance partner for the workshops. Couples get priority! Registration is binding, and workshops are to be paid at the door before the lesson. Please meet 15 minutes before the lesson starts.
The DJ for the Tango Party Saturday and NewYearsEveBall is Jur Heinen from Amsterdam. He will also give a lecture on 'The History of Tango Music through the Ears of a Dancer'. Jur & Jonne also give private classes, which we highly recommend.
A lunchcafe will provide sandwiches and softdrinks during the festival, and an open bar will serve beverages during the party and NYEBall.
Dance shoes and tango CD's will be sold at the venue.
Possibilities for overnight stay with fellow tango lovers.

Teachers:
Jørn Knustad, Oslo: Runs the organisation Tango Trasnoche, and teaches in Oslo and the rest of Norway. To develop his dancing and teaching, Jørn often travels to Europe and also to Buenos Aires. He believes the dance consists of contact and communication with the partner, not only steps and figures. Jørn focuses on clean technique as one of the keys for full enjoyment of the dance.

Grete Indahl, Oslo: Has danced tango throughout many years in Oslo. She has experience from modern and classical ballet, jazz dance, and has also instructed yoga. At the annual Summer Concert in Holmenkollen/Oslo 2000 she and other dancers from the Oslo tango scene danced a performance together with Pablo Inza & Verónica Alvarenga (Buenos Aires).

Unni Hermansen, Oslo: Has a background from gymnastics, modern dance, ballet and street dance. Unni has been an active tango dancer for 5 years. She travels frequently abroad to gather inspiration and knowledge. She believes that teaching with a sense of humour and easy going makes it even more fun to learn about tango.

Mike Kercher, Bremen:  Has a background from ballroom competition. Mike now lives in Bremen, where he has his own milonga. He studied tango in Bremen, Regensburg, and Amsterdam and has been teaching in Holland, Germany, and Norway. Mike combines balance and musicality in exciting ways and focuses in his teaching and dancing on the interaction, playfulness, and improvisation within the couple.

Jur Heijnen & Jonne Meij, Amsterdam: Are very active dancers and teachers in Amsterdam, where they have their own dancing school. They organise the most popular milongas in Amsterdam, Moeders Mooiste and Club Ocho, as well as the Tangodiep festival. Jur and Jonne have developed a style wich gives the milonguero style a new impuls. Their comfortable way of leading and following combined with musicality and dynamics is both intimate and eyecatching. Jur is a highly appreciated DJ in and around Holland. He also wrote several articles about tango orquestras of the golden age for the Dutch tangomagazine 'La Cadena'.
